Ilona Dearden - About

Ilona Dearden is a freelance Scenic Artist who works within Theatre, Film, TV, Events, Live Experiences, Interiors, and Exhibitions. Her highlights include painting for Netflix's 'Persuasion' and the Oscar winner ‘The Wonderful Story Of Henry Sugar’ , Paramount’s ‘Gladiator 2’ (Working Title) and The Museum of London's 'Beasts of London’.

Ilona also has a background in Set & Costume Design for Theatre. Her Production Design highlights include 'Daisy Pulls It Off', performed at the Charing Cross Theatre in 2018, and 'Murder in the Cathedral', a Cathedral play tour in 2019.

She is also interested in developing her skills within the Art Department for film and TV and is keen for opportunities within this department. In 2023 she completed the ‘Baby Art Department’ course with the ‘Art Department’. She has some experience in Set Dressing for Live Experiences and displays, and hopes she can use this in the future.

As well as being a freelance Scenic Artist, she also creates Art in her spare time. Her recent Art Attributions include having completed a series of paintings of Rye, East Sussex for a Rye 2023 and a 2024 calendar, (sold at Adams of Rye, East Sussex) and selling work at the Winchelsea Art Exhibition, in East Sussex 2022.
